SNIPE Kick-Off Meeting

On Tuesday 4th August, FAE Technology Hub space located at Kilometro Rosso Innovation District played host to the Kick-off Meeting of the project SNIPE. The event marks the start of this EU co-funded use-case, which sees FAE Technology as a coordinator, and Kilometro Rosso Innovation District and Arizzi Fonderie as partners.

Over 12 months, this consortium will cooperate to create a monitoring infrastructure for those foundry production processes which have not been digitalised yet. In particular, this objective will be achieved through:

  • the custom firmware development for Sensor and Gateway
  • the design and implementation of Cybersecurity end-to-end suite
  • an edge computing functionality
  • an IoT connection
  • an infrastructure based on Cloud as support to maintenance e management.

In addition, an innovative wearable IoT device able to transfer simple, basic information about process performances will be developed.

SNIPE receives a contribution of about €300.000 from the 1st call for TRINITY Demonstration Programme of the EU funded Trinity Digital Innovation Hub, the EU programme aimed to help companies improve their processes, products and services through the use of digital technologies.
